Tilmann Gabriel – Director Aviation Management MSc

  • A former senior aviation executive with over 35 years of demonstrated results in the aviation industry, a Lufthansa Executive and Training Captain for 20 years, Tilmann Gabriel is one of the few consultants in the world, who has earned a reputation for driving business, profit, and market share in aviation. He is regarded as a curator of sustained growth for leading airlines, as well as start-ups, business jet and helicopter operations and aircraft manufacturers. He has created dramatic results for clients such as Cargolux, CHC, Safi Airways and Qatar Airways, and was appointed Director of the renowned Air Transport Management Division of the London City University in 2014. Most recently, Gabriel was also appointed Vice Chairman of IPTC, the International Pilot Training Consortium.

    In addition, Gabriel specializes in identifying new markets in the travel industry and establishing competitive positioning within those markets, designing and implementing individualized, innovative strategies that increase margins and EBITDA while minimizing risks and safety hazards. Continual improvement of cross-functional processes and procedures are central to his concept.

    An avid speaker at international aviation, marketing and safety conferences, and columnist for several magazines, Gabriel is considered a thought leader in his field and is writing and researching about the future opportunities in air transport and travel systems.
